Hints for unique experiences in the city!

Gorizia is a perfect workation for digital nomads and remote workers and for those who want to get in touch with an area full of ferment and creative energy. Just a few steps away from our coliving, stands the 11th century Gorizia Castle. In addition to the marvellous panoramic view of the entire city, the castle offers treasures and history, including ancient musical instruments that are all in working order. Inside you can visit the Museum of the Middle Ages in Gorizia, the Museum of the Great War, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the archaeological collection and the picture gallery.

Not far away, you can admire ‘Il giardino Delle Azalee’ (The Garden of Azaleas), which brings together 500 varieties of azaleas, more than 300 types of rare roses, 150 varieties of rhododendrons, 50 varieties of camellias and 120 of magnolias, in a riot of colours and scents. Collio Isontino is ideal for a regenerating break, in a panoramic area full of wonderful landscapes to explore on foot, by Vespa, mountain bike, horseback or bicycle. A perfect food and wine trail for a day since along the marked routes there are wine cellars, castles to explore, and agritourisms where you can stop to savour a Sauvignon accompanied by ham, salami, and cheese.

Moreover, Gorizia is located right next to the border with Slovenia and a few kilometres away you can visit the city of Nova Gorica, also European Capital of Culture 2025. Crossed by the Soča river, the city is also perfect for sports enthusiasts, offering the possibility of kayaking and bungee jumping.

Visit the Castle

The Castle of Gorizia dates back to the 11th century and, in addition to a splendid panoramic view of the entire city, it offers treasures and history, including ancient musical instruments.
Inside you can visit the Museum of the Middle Ages, the Museum of the Great War, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the archaeological collection and the picture gallery.

Explore the historical center

Via Rastello it’s the city's first street, dating back to the 14th century. Once the main commercial axis of the city with its artisans and merchants shops, now it’s a place between past and future where you can find historic shops flanked by new commercial and functional spaces: clothing, footwear, watches, bookshops, crafts and restaurants for special lunches or dinners.

Get lost in the Garden of Azaleas

Museum of Fashion and applied arts

One of the very few Italian museum institutions organically dedicated to the history of textiles and costume. Inside, rooms have been reconstructed to simulate clothing-related craft activities, such as shoemaking, hattering, and tailoring. A real time travel through the history of fashion!

Bungee jumping

An adrenaline-filled experience by the emerald Soča river. Are you a thrill seeker, a lover of wild adventures, or do you simply desire to experience something new? The Jumps take place off a 55-metre high bridge majestically arching over the emerald Soča river in Solkan.
